Civil/Mechanical Engineer - Structures

What will you be doing?

  • Design and analyse steel and mechanical structures for industrial applications.
  • Develop engineering calculations according to Eurocodes and international standards.
  • Create and review technical drawings, fabrication details, and engineering documentation.
  • Participate in finite element analysis (FEA) and advanced structural assessments.
  • Collaborate with clients, fabricators, architects, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Support project execution from concept development through detailed design and construction.
  • Perform engineering reviews, site inspections, and technical assessments when required.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise designs for safety, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of WDE engineering standards, tools, and methodologies.
  • Support innovation and automation initiatives within the engineering department.

Must havE

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with structural or mechanical design.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with CAD software.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
  • Desire to learn and continuously improve.

Nice to have
  • Experience with steel structures and industrial projects.
  • Experience with finite element software (Ansys, Robot, RFEM, SAP2000, IDEA StatiCa, Tekla Structural Designer, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Eurocodes and international design standards.
  • Experience with Tekla Structures or similar software.
  • Experience with BIM workflows.
  • Experience in EPC, industrial, energy, biomass, or process industries.
  • Programming or automation skills (Python, VBA, C#, Power Automate, etc.).
